The best way to make a name for yourself is by having your best game on the biggest stage. Against Oaks Christian, in front of thousands of people with tens of thousands watching as the game was broadcast nationally by Fox Sports, Westlake quarterback Justin Moore did just that.

Moore absolutely shredded an Oaks defense full of Division 1 stars, rushing for a jaw dropping 235 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries while also throwing for a touchdown and recording an interception on defense as Westlake won 43-21.

"Oaks has a great defense so I knew we were going to need to execute perfectly if we wanted to have success," the humble Moore said of his big game. "But the offensive line was incredible, everyone picked up their guys and we executed the way we can and we had great success."

The game against Oaks was no abberation, as Moore has put up video game numbers in almost every contest this year. Moore is averaging nearly 10 yards a carry with 589 rushing yards on just 59 carries and 7 rushing touchdowns, while completing 60% of his passes with 8 passing touchdowns against only 2 interceptions.

"I would say my biggest strength as a quarterback is just my big play ability," Moore said. "I feel like I can turn nothing into something on any given play. If you drop back into coverage I can beat you with my legs but if you leave too many guys up front I have the arm strength to beat you deep," Moore said.

While die hard football fans have known of Moore's talents for a while, his performance against Oaks Christian certainly put him on the national map and the day after the game Moore received his first scholarship offer, from SMU. While Moore wants to play quarterback in college, he said he is open to playing "any position on the field" and belives the offer from SMU came as an athlete.

"It's a great school," Moore said. "They are definitely on the rise, they beat TCU this year. I was thrilled about getting that offer, just knowing I will be playing college football at a Division 1 school is so special," Moore said.

SMU might be the first to offer Moore, but other scholarship offers should be coming his way soon. Arizona State's coaches were on campus last week and Moore has also been receiving letters from UCLA, Oregon and Boston College.
